Hello, I'm Sophie.

I am an Australian artist with a background in graphic design, illustration and visual arts. I have a passion for capturing the beauty of wildlife through realistic oil paintings. Inspired by the natural world, my work celebrates the intricate details, quiet moments and remarkable character of animals we do not always have the opportunity to see and experience.

Every painting begins with curiosity and patience. I enjoy taking the time to carefully observe each subject, building layers of colour and detail to create artwork that feels lifelike and timeless. While wildlife remains at the centre of my work, I also enjoy exploring still life and portraiture, capturing the beauty found in everyday moments and the unique character of each subject. My hope is that each piece invites people to slow down and appreciate nature and small moments.

Alongside my fine art practice, my background in graphic design influences the way I approach composition, colour and presentation, allowing me to create work that is both thoughtfully crafted and visually refined.
